International Waterborne, High-Solids, & Powder Coatings Symposium Abstracts 

The 54th Annual International Waterborne, High-Solids, and Powder Coatings Symposium, will be held on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg, MS.

This five-day academic forum convenes a diverse community of coatings formulators, chemists, industry leaders, suppliers, students, and educators to disseminate and critically examine emerging research and technological innovations within the field. 

Through a rigorous program of scholarly and technical presentations, the Symposium seeks to advance a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical frameworks, scientific methodologies, manufacturing processes, and commercial strategies underpinning coatings technology.

The Symposium invites the submission of original, novel research from scholars, government researchers, and industry professionals that advances knowledge across all dimensions of coatings science and engineering. 

Abstract submissions are due October 1, 2026. 

The symposium requires a written paper, a presentation, a speaker biography, and a picture.

Speakers will be presenting on February 10-12, 2027. The Waterborne Symposium Technical Committee will be responsible for coordinating all speakers and the agenda. The technical committee will send abstract acceptance letters by November 1, 2026. Our goal is to further the advancement of coatings technology through these speaker platforms. Written papers are due December 1, 2026.

Emphasis will be placed on research that demonstrates significant enhancements in coatings performance, functionality, and application beyond conventional paradigms.
